While en-route to Felix Leiter's wedding, James Bond helps Leiter intercept and capture major international drug-dealer Franz Sanchez.  The day after the wedding Bond learns that Sanchez has escaped.  Fearing for his friend's safety, 007 returns to Leiter's home to find him seriously wounded, and his bride killed.

MI6 orders Bond to leave the matter to the local authorities, leaving him no choice but to resign and track down Sanchez.  Not satisfied with simply finding Sanchez, James Bond is intent on making him pay for what they did to his friend.
